We have two new members displaying some of their art work. They are Marian Jensen and Angie Holloway. I also updated Larry Hawkins, Tom Kinarney's and Barbara Rich's gallery.

COLORED PENCIL/PEN & INK WITH TOM KINARNEY

Come and enjoy a couple of mediums that will surprise you with their ease of use and dramatic, beautiful results.  Experiment with either or both and see how they can be combined with watercolor or other mediums.  The 8-week session begins Tuesday, April 13 from 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m and runs through June 8. There will be no class May 4.  Cost is $70.  Please contact Tom at 937-236-1959 or just show up at the Gallery on April 13.

RICHARD CHILDS WATERCOLOR CLASS

Richard Childs is again offering his Saturday watercolor classes for 8 weeks starting April 10 and running through May 29. The class will meet in the FAA Gallery from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This class is designed for the watercolor artist regardless of skill level. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, this class is designed to improve your skills and creative ability. We will cover techniques, design, color theory and individual style. Projects will be catered to individual needs and goals. A supply list will be available at the first session.

ROSIE HUART PAPERMAKING WORKSHOP

Local artist and papermaker, Rosie Huart, is having a papermaking workshop titled The Wonderful World of Handmade Paper, March 27-28, 2010, at Town & Country Fine Art Center’s old gallery space in the center atrium of Town & Country Shopping Center. Participants will learn the basics of papermaking including layering, couching, casting, embedments, pulp painting, coloring, pressing and drying. The 2-day workshop is $115, which includes all material fees and use of equipment. Register early. Class is limited. Supply list will be forthcoming after registering.
