DEBBIE SUTER HEART ATTACK (UPDATE)

This information was received from Bruce Suter, "On Friday morning (August 6) at about 4 am, Debbie (our Sunshine Chairman) had a minor heart attack. The doctors have focused on her pain. Saturday morning, the doctors were unsure what to do and Debbie made up their mind for them. She had an 'episode,' so the surgical team, which was on call this weekend was alerted to come in. Debbie had a cardiac catherization today. The doctors found the cause of her heart attack -- a small artery deep within the heart that had collapsed.

Fairborn Art Association is excited to present this 5-day multimedia painting adventure workshop entitled, “Creative Layering: The Endless Mystery of Collage,” using hand-painted papers, acrylics, stamps, photo copies and most of all, our imagination. The excitement of designing will be done without drawing. The materials used and colors chosen will lead us on this painting journey.

TOM KINARNEY FALL SCHEDULE (COLORED PENCIL)

Tom Kinarney will be teaching a colored pencil and pen & ink class starting September 28 and running for 8 weeks. The time will be 9:30 am to 12:30 pm every Tuesday. Class will not meet Tuesday. October 5, because of the Judi Coffey workshop; however will pick up the next week and run through November 23. Fee will be $70.00 for members, $80.00 for nonmembers..

TOM HOCK FALL SCHEDULE (BOB ROSS STYLE)

Tom Hock, teaching the Bob Rose style, will be offering classes at the gallery in September on Thursday, Sep 9 from 6-7 pm and Thursday, Sep 23 from 1-4 pm; Saturday, Sep 4 from 3-4 pm and 6-7 pm; also Saturday, Sep18 from 3-4 pm and 6-7 pm. Classes in October will be Thursday, Oct 14 from 1-4 pm and Thursday, Oct 21 from 1-4 pm.' Saturday, Oct 23 from 3-4 pm and 4-6 pm; Saturday, Oct 30 from 3-4 pm and 6-7 pm. DOROTHY CALVEZ HOWARD

We have lost another of our long-time members. Dorothy Calvez Howard has passed away. Dorothy was President of the Fairborn Art Association from 1979 to 1980. At the time of her death, she was residing in North Carolina. Mailing address is P.O. Box 4, Cora Peake, NC 27926 Our condolences and prayers go to Dorothy's family.
